Astrid's favorite and only sister and very best friend. Annika is attending the University of Oregon in Eugene, and so has to provide her planning advice long distance via the phone, but she is still very much a wedding V.I.P.
Kyle's best friend, currently exiled in Cleveland with his wife Lisa. Chris has been an observer (and partner) of multiple hijinks stemming from Kyle's deranged ideas, and has been a loyal and caring friend throughout the past ten years.
Astrid met Ashley through Annika, and now they've know eachother so long that they are practically sisters. Ashley helped pick out the dress, and she is responsible for the lovely engagement photos you will see when you get your save-the-date card. It will be easy to spot her at the wedding: she'll be in a blue dress and her face will be obscured by a camera.
Brighten can be blamed for aiding and abetting Kyle's tendencies for degenerate activities, but truthfully, the reverse is true as well. Brighten is one of the few Asian friends Kyle has, which probably explains the first sentence of this introduction.
When Anna was added to the posse, they became the A-Team. At the wedding she'll look amazing and about eight feet tall, but she'll still be avoiding getting her picture taken.
Tyler is one of the few people who has been able to escape the clutches of gambling addiction that Kyle knows. However, this is likely only true because Tyler has no time to do anything besides slave away behind a large cherry-stained wood desk and boss around his secretary while making copies of 800-page patents on chewing gum.
Tyler was one of the first real friends Kyle met upon moving to Seattle, and despite his extremely busy life, he remains one of Kyle's closest friends. The two share remarkably similar upbringings, which, again, explains a lot.
Elaine and Astrid met way back when at Madrona Elementary, and became super close in middle school. They have survived many exciting adventures together, including Future Problem Solving, working in retail, making many cakes, and watching an entire season's worth of television in a single day.
Unfortunately Elaine will be in Taiwan at the time of the wedding, but she'll still be there in spirit--and at the bachelorette party!
Jacob is Kyle's fellow delusional baseball partner - both put in endless hours of stretching, working out, throwing bullpens, and hitting batting practice just to look reasonably good on an amateur-level team. Both of them know how to throw the mythical gyroball (no one seems to care anymore).
Karen was the one who originally came up with idea of the Virginia V for the wedding site, and has been integral in keeping Astrid relatively stress free. She also has been helpful in picking out dresses, photographers and food, as well as being in charge of all the flowers for the event. Without her, we definitely would not be organized enough to actually get married.
Lori is graciously handling all of the duties of organizing the reception in Cleveland at Sweetwater Landing. She has been a great source of inspiration for wedding-related planning and puts up with her son's tardiness more than she probably should.
Only Anton can be blamed for Astrid being as crazy as she is. Anton taught Astrid all she knows about alcohol and music, so who else would she have organize them for her wedding?
Chris is the middle of three brothers and is extremely addicted to the Nintendo Wii. Historically a pain in his older brother's side, he ended up being rather supportive later in life, for which Kyle is very gracious.
Kevin, the youngest of three, has world-class Dance Dance Revolution skills that know no bounds. Through Kyle's travels across the continental United States, he has yet to stop in a city where they have a DDR machine and the local populace is unaware of the existence of MegamanX / Kevin Boddy. Currently a senior at Parma Senior High School (and the last of three to graduate from said institution), he will be attending The Ohio State University for the 2008-2009 school year.
