Astrid's dad, Anton, has acquired a case of wines that we will potentially be drinking at our wedding. A few of our friends are celebrating our engagement with us, and helping us decide which wines to serve.
Astrid's Auntie Christy and honorary Auntie Betsy are throwing her a family shower!
BFF, bridesmaid, and practically-sister Ashley is hosting a shower for Astrid's girlfriends and family friends.
Astrid and the girls, and some boys, are going to celebrate her impending marriage with a night out at Teatro ZinZanni's new show, A Quest for a Queendom." Hosted by Maid of Honor and fabulous sister Annika, this party is going to be a blast! Check out our Facebook event page for all the info!
After our rehearsal on wedding-eve we invite our immediate families, the wedding party, and any out of town guests to barbeque and play lawn games with us at Lower Woodland Park. There is no alcohol allowed in the park, but we'll make it fun with Italian sodas or something. We'll let invitees in on more details when we get closer to the event.
Our wedding and reception will be in Seattle on the evening of July 24th, aboard the Virginia V. The boat is really neat, and if you're coming from out of town it will be a great way to see the city.
For their honeymoon, Kyle and Astrid are relaxing for a week at the Coronado Bay Resort in San Diego. Yes it will be amazing, and no you are not invited!
Because Kyle isn't originally from Seattle, we wanted to make sure that his family back home could celebrate our marriage with us, too. To make that easier for you all, we're planning a second reception in Ohio after we return from our honeymoon. We hope to see you at Sweetwater Landing on August 9th.
Because of space and budget limitations, there was no way we could invite all of Astrid's coworkers at the Gap or all of Kyle's basebll teammates to the wedding, however much we love them. Thus, at the suggestions of the lovely Courtney, sometime after the wedding we'll be having a get together with you all we've met in the wonderful world of retail/on the baseball diamond. This will be a BYOB, gifts certainly not expected, low key kind of event, hopefully at our new place, depending on the state of our moving in and unpacking. Stay tuned for details!
