    You may also know her as Trida...

    Astrid was born and raised in Seattle, and has a few quarters to go at the University of Washington where she is studying Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. While not in class she enjoys such varied activities as shopping, decorating, catching insects, politics, taking silly pictures with her sister, yoga, baking, and dancing like a maniac.

  • All About Kyle

    Kyle was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and moved to Seattle to be with Astrid. He is self-employed as a finance/business consultant, and works from home. When not slaving away in front of a three-monitor setup, Kyle is coaching freshmen baseball at Roosevelt High School. His other hobbies include gambling, economics, baseball analysis, video games, and sleeping.

  • How They Met

    Kids these days...

    Astrid and Kyle met while arguing esoteric topics in a debate community on the popular blogging and social networking site LiveJournal in 2002, but their relationship remained online-only for quite a while. One night, over a year later, they realized that they had fallen in love, without ever even meeting each other! Kyle finally came to visit Astrid in Seattle in August of 2004 and they realized they liked each other even more in real life. After a difficult year-and-a-half Seattle to Cleveland long distance relationship, Kyle moved out to Seattle to be with Astrid, and they promptly adopted as many kittens as possible.

  • The Engagement

    Everybody seems to want to know how he proposed and to see the ring. We hate to disappoint, but he didn't and we don't have one. Instead of pretending to be surprised, we mutually decided that we want to spend our lives together. We think that this is perfectly romantic, and the best possible way to start off our lives as partners. Don't worry, we'll get our finger bling come July!
